Say Goodbye to Sugar
Sorry to break it to ya, but that sweet tooth of yours is doing more harm than good. Sugar is one of the worst things you can put in your body. Sure, it tastes great, but it’s making you tired, breaking your skin out, and causing inflammation, just to name a few. Cutting back on sugar is not easy, trust me, I know. But, the benefits are worth it. Stick with whole foods and try natural sweeteners like stevia instead.

Lift Heavy
Ladies, do not be afraid of heavy weights. Strength training has a plethora of benefits besides the obvious muscle gain. It improves your overall posture, boosts your metabolism, and even helps fight against osteoporosis. So, put down those 3lb dumbbells and start lifting heavy. Don’t know where to start? Hire a personal trainer or find a friend to spot you. Your future self will thank you.

Carbs are Not the Enemy
Carbs have been demonized for far too long. Yes, excess carbs can lead to weight gain, but the key is in moderation. And not all carbs are created equal. Opt for complex carbs found in fruits, veggies. They will not only help you fuel your workouts, but also help you feel full and satisfied after meals.

Don’t Skip Meals
Skipping meals may seem like a quick fix to lose weight, but in reality, it’s doing more harm than good. It slows down your metabolism and causes you to binge eat later. Aim for 3 nourishing meals a day and snacks if needed. And don’t forget to hydrate – water does wonders for your body.

Stress Less
Stress is a major cause of weight gain and overall inflammation in your body. Make self-care a priority and find ways to relax and unwind. Whether it’s yoga, meditation, or a bubble bath, find what works for you and stick with it. Your mind and body will thank you.
